Martins Samuel Studios, a fast-rising film production company based in Los Angeles, California, is calling on all creatives in Africa to participate in her upcoming short film contest tagged ‘INSPIRE.’ 

In a world broken by hate, the competition aims to showcase compelling stories of love and acceptance that can inspire hope for healing and redemption. Open to all Black creatives and storytellers living in Africa, entries should be a captivating story told in five minutes or less, recorded on a camera, iPhone, Samsung, or any other device that can capture motion pictures. 

Submission opens May 1 and closes May 31, 2023, all participants must comply with the guidelines and eligibility criteria, as well as the Official Rules provided on the website.

A panel of judges consisting of industry experts in the United States have been selected to critically review the entries and select the winning films. The winners would receive cash prizes worth $3,000 at a hybrid Award Ceremony in August 2023, to be held in Los Angeles, California.
